Our guide Mario, explain everything about the rainforest and reply to all our question. I prefer bigger group ( we were only 5 ) but had been an awesome day :) We also saw the crocodile during the cruise. We had a lovely picnic. Only shame was the Beatles museum closed .
What a beautiful trip? .. we both learned so much about Daintree rain forest and great Barrier Reef in one day thanks to our brilliant guide.. We have so much respect for these natural wonders after visiting them.. don't expect too much ..Just enjoy being in it and soaking in those Forest.. our guide was so professional yet approachable .. relaxing trip overall - brilliant views of Cape Tribulation, cruise along the river - watching big and baby crocs, listening to the stories.. the ice cream - got the four flavours.. was amazing!!! Take some cash with you as well as a towel and some swim clothes .. would recommend dipping at the swim hole..
Excellent trip with good food and learned guide Marco.Spotted a Cassowary and his chick as well.
Beautiful day. Tour was so informative and Jo the guide was awesome. Saw so much of this beautiful area unfortunately no crocodiles spotted but learned a lot about the spectacular rainforest and it's inhabitants. Recommend everyone take the time to see these amazing places whilst you're here.
I have been all around Australia, done all the main attractions and national tours and nothing even came close to being as interesting and great value as this tour. The tour guide (Joe) was so knowledgeable! Ever 10 minutes of the day I learnt something new from him. I can't stress enough how amazing and interesting this tour is and I would recommend this to everyone.
Highly recommend Kuranda, the train and the skyrail. The train was beautiful and the drive through the forest and all the history we've got to here was great. Kuranda itself is a beautiful small town, you will find enough this to do! The skyrail down was also very fun and I stopped on both platforms for the view and short tour! Go and enjoy!
The Staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable & the views spectacular !!!!This is definitely a must do !!!!We'll definitely be back to do it again !!!!!! Thank You to All involved in this Fantastic experience !!!!!
Highly recommend this tour. Not only enjoyed the scenery, but learned so much from our very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide Mario. Included a Daintree River cruise, got to see 4 crocs with another very hilarious guide. Enjoyed a fair dinkum aussie BBQ and finished off day with some icecream made of locally grown fruits.
If you want to explore the original rainforest without the crowd, then you come to Daintree. We spent some time on walking through the rainforest with our knowledgeable guide, who is a great gentleman and gave us a lot of information about the plants. I'm quite happy that we had him in this tour! Also in this trip we saw crocodile, bats, spider... A different experience... I like it.
Great trip with personalised, friendly service. Had nice lunch in a private, educational place, where you can also swim in clear water with lots of fish. Very informative for those wanting a quick overview of the beautiful Daintree area and its amazing flora and fauna.
After a slightly late start the day ran smoothly , very informative guide/driver Alfred, took us to many different locations throughout the day. Plenty of stops to enjoy the beautiful North Queensland scenery , and a delicious lunch cooked on the bbq by a tropical river watching fish and turtles at the butterfly and insect museum. Very fortunate with weather after two weeks of rain previously, lucky to spot crocs sunning themselves and even a Cassowary and his chick ! A great way to visit a lot of places if you limited for time, excellent boat trip up the Daintree with humorous boatman and his amethyst python, walk along stunning Cape Tribulation beach .. wonderful day !
Had a great time on the Daintree / Cape Tribulation tour yesterday. The driver was punctual, friendly, and very informative. I learned quite a bit about the region. The tour is a great way to cover a lot of ground if you only have a short time in Cairns.
This tour was perfect for us. In one day, we stopped at so many different places and saw so many animals and plants. I wish we could have seen more of the Daintree forest though, the creeks on the road seemed beautiful. Our guide was very informative on a lot of different subjects and the BBQ was really good! I would recommend to anyone wishing to hop-on/hop-off to many sites but not to people who want to walk around a lot.
The guides (both the primary guide and the crocodile river guide) were very fun and informative. The rainforest was very beautiful, with an interesting history of foliage evolution. Cape tribulation was another highlight, along with the insect museum, holding a baby crocodile (so cool!), a delicious lunch, and the fruit plantation! (Try the soursop ice cream flavor if they have it! It's delicious!) Thanks for a wonderful day. I had a fantastic trip and, as a solo traveler, I really appreciated the bookme.com discount. Thanks again!
Thank you for the lovely experience. Our guide Mario was very friendly and knowledgable. We spotted baby Crocs and one mature croc during the river cruise. The lunch next to the river was lovely. Food was really good and well prepared. I'd definitely recommend the trip!!
One of the best days of my life, Mario our driver was more than just a tour guide! So knowledgeable and just a lovely guy! We had an awesome time, everything went to schedule, the bbq lunch was delish then we cooled off in the little stream with the fish which was fun. Stopped for ice cream made from local tropical fruits on the way back. Do yourself a favour and take this tour!
Everything great, they organized all tickets. The shuttle from the hotel to the station and to hotel again. Thanks
Mario is an excellent guide and driver! Right from the start he gives out loads of information along the way and it's all very interesting. Nothing ever seemed to much trouble for him and he really made the day so enjoyable :-) The trip itself is excellent and you get to see lots of really cool stuff, again mario points it all out for you :-)
We had a most amazing trip in the Rainforest. The trip is beautiful including Port Douglas, Daintree cruise, lunch, cape tribulation and local ice cream. Driver is fun and friendly. Highly recommended.
It was a great trip BBQ lunch was really nice and driver was fun also just a small group so it was awesome
Joe was very friendly and informative. Given competitor pricing the day was good value. Loved everywhere we stopped - picture postcard stuff or as our daughter would say ‘Instagram worthy’. Private collection of insects from around the world was unexpected but amazing. Daintree natural ice cream stop was a bonus but a bit rushed. Head office need to check reservations process. Ours was fine via book.me but others didn’t get a confirmation and had to call and another group were not on the manifest and had to join later by taxi. From other reviews this appears to not be an isolated case.
This was a jam packed day with lots of small stops to beaches, creeks and rivers. There was a lot of driving and we spent a small amount of time at each place. Enjoyed it all and got some great info from the tour guides.
Joe our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Daintree forest! Took us to places some secluded only to our group! Our very own private creek. And personal tour of bug museum- even though it was close- but for Joe they allowed us in and showed us around. To top off the tour With exotic fruit ice cream stop over. Generally funny guy making the tour enjoyable and mind blowing facts of the forest.
I had the pork belly burger& beer . It's sweet & tasty ! The staffs are very nice too. Good value for trousit! ?
We did our open water diver course at CDC and we couldn't recommend it enough. Our instructor Richard was fabulous, he really took his time to ensure you understand all techniques and little tricks. Plus he is a very very experienced diver and there was never a time when we didn't feel in good hands and absolutely safe. The groups are small so the instructor can keep a close eye on every student to make sure you are comfortable doing what is required. They will take you to the outer reef where you will definitely see beautiful corals, anemones and an abundance of colourful fish. Certainly suitable for both divers and snorkels! We highly recommend CDC, great atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. Especially thanks to Richard for his patience and support, couldn't have wished for a better instructor!!
I had a wonderful and most memorable time with my new friends! It was good value for money, learning about diving in the Open Water course and upgrading to add the Advanced dive course. The CDC staff were friendly, flexible, encouraging and lived up to deliver FUN - close second only to safety, and separated only by the thickness of a piece of paper ;) It felt like a little family, you weren't just another customer. The food was delicious! (Thanks Chef!) The gear was of good quality and well-maintained. BONUS: We were fortunate that weather, wind and underwater visibility were on our side to add to the most perfect experience. Highly recommend the live-aboard experience with CDC!
Great day had a glass bottom boat and we also got to snorkeling saw lots of beautiful fish and turtles ?. Did the secret garden walk which went through the rainforest easy one to do and recommend, all staff were very helpful and attentive
