A visit to the Werribee Open Range Zoo is an experience unlike any other - taking you on an African adventure right here in Australia!

Situated on over 200 hectares of beautiful terrain, the Werribee Open Range Zoo exhibits iconic grassland animals in an open range environment which allows the animals enough space to act how they would in their natural environment.

You'll have the unique opportunity to discover the magnificent animals of the African Savanna on our free African Safari Tour including Rhinos, Giraffes, Zebra and Antelope plus you'll see other fascinating wildlife from the grasslands of Asia, North America and Australia.

There are also free daily talks where our experienced keepers will enthral you with a fascinating animal presentation, giving you the opportunity to meet some of the friendly locals.

Feel free to explore the grounds and take a look at the many amazing exhibits and animal displays on offer - from gorillas and lions to Hippos and koalas, there's something for everyone!
