Great Ocean Road - Small Group Reverse Itinerary Day Tour - Ex Melbourne

Experience one of the most spectacular natural landscapes on the planet! Join us for a day on the Great Ocean Road with this small group tour.

Highlights

  • Travel straight to the 12 Apostles
  • Reverse itinerary: avoid the large crowds coming from the other direction!
  • No rushing - spend a decent amount of time enjoying the attractions!
  • Plenty of stops for amazing pictures
  • Informative and friendly guide, good chat, great music and good vibes!
  • Stop to see Koalas and Kangaroos on the wild

Your day starts bright and early so you can get to the attractions before the crowds! Pickup is at 7am at St Paul's Cathedral.

The greatest thing about this tour is it goes in reverse to the typical Great Ocean Road Tours. On this tour the guide will drive inland in the morning, arrive at the attractions before all the crowds arrive and comes back through the world-famous coastline, the Great Ocean Rd.

The first stop will be at Colac where you can get in a good stretch and enjoy a coffee (at own expense). From there you go straight to the first attraction at the 12 Apostles. On this tour, you are guaranteed to visit at least four awe-inspiring attractions, London Bridge, Loch Ard Gorge, The Razorback and of course, the 12 Apostles.

Lunch stop (at own expense) will be at the lovely town of Port Campbell, if you fancy it, you can go for a little walk to the enclosed beach for some amazing pictures!

When you depart the 12 Apostles area you will get to drive through Great Otway National Park Rainforest to witness some of Australia's most amazing rainforest scenery.

On your way back you will travel along the Great Ocean Road coastline. Through Apollo Bay, your guide will share some interesting stories and facts about the city while on your way to Kenneth River. In Kenneth River, you will hopefully encounter some cute koalas and colourful parrots, make sure you have your camera handy! Along the way, you will also get to see some friendly kangaroos.

The final stop will be at the quaint coastal town of Lorne for another epic beachfront view. You can chat with cockatoos and treat yourself to a yummy ice cream (at own expense) before heading back to Melbourne.

During the whole tour, your friendly guide will give interesting insights into the places you visit, share the local history, and some fun facts!

This tour focuses on creating remarkable memories, come and join in and see what all the fuss is about!

Meeting Point: Pickup at 7am at St Paul's Cathedral, Flinders Ln & Swanston St, Melbourne. Other pickup points might be available upon request.

    Nice tour

Orlando was a nice guide. We saw a lot during the day and the reversed route was good, because the spots were not that crowded with tourists.

Great tour guide was excellent group if 11 was perfect for solo traveller getting to attractions when there was very little people there led to ample photo opportunities

Recommended for those who prefer small groups

My family and I had a great time at the tour. Rio picked and dropped us off at our requested location (Premium Tour). The reverse tour ensured that we saw the 12 Apostles first, also enabled us to avoid the crowds. Learnt about the fun facts of the places we visited. It would be great if we had more time at the 12 Apostles, Apollo Bay and Lorne. Be sure to try the scallop pie at Apollo Bay Bakery!

Best day trip to see the 12 Apostles

Best trip doing it in reverse order - beat the crowd of large bus tour groups to see the sights. Our tour included a lovely stop for lunch at beautiful Port Campbell. A bottle of water for everyone is a nice touch. Orlando provided interesting commentary and sufficient time at each destination, without rushing us and without us waiting ages for others. Do yourself a favour and book yourself on this tour. You won’t be disappointed.

Very nice, detailed and friendly trip

It was more focussed on timing, covered a lot of places and our guide was really nice and informative. Highlight is that the group was small and got a lot of individual attention. Covered a lot of places like 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, Shipwreck coast, Port Campbell national park, London Bridge, Koala spotting, the Arch and Apollo Bay. It was a great drive along the great ocean road. Cheers!
