Dunk Island is a tropical paradise and nature lovers playground, mostly covered in a national park and offering a range of stunning walking trails and palm-fringed beaches.
This tour departs Cairns by coach on a scenic journey to Cassowary Coast & Mission Beach where you'll board our QuickCoast ferry and enjoy a range of delicious complimentary muffins, fruit salad, and tea/coffee/juice.
Upon arrival at Dunk Island you'll have the opportunity to soak up its beauty by your choice of either a challenging hike, or more relaxing walk along Pallon Beach.
For the adventurous, your 7km hike to Mount Kootaloo passes through ancient fern forests, ironbark groves, and a World War II radar station, reaching the island's highest point with breathtaking panoramic views of the islands. This 3-4 hour round trip takes you through the enchanting Palm Valley and leads you to the serene Coconut Beach.
For those seeking an easier hike, a delightful walk along Pallon Beach, featuring a lookout and the old farm, is highly recommended. You can also visit Muggy Muggy Beach to relax, take a dip and try some snorkeling if you choose!
Once we depart Dunk Island, you'll be transferred to Porters Promenade where Shops, bars and eateries are open for a beachside sunset dinner at your own expense - the perfect way to end the day!

- 6.00am - Coach pickups from city Lake & Abbott Streets
- 8.30am - Clump Point Marine Facility - QuickCoast priority boarding commences
- 9.00am - QuickCoast departs Clump Point Marina Facility
- 9.30am - QuickCoast arrives Dunk Island Jetty
- 2.45pm - QuickCoast boarding at Dunk Island Jetty
- 3.00pm - QuickCoast departs Dunk Island
- 3:30pm - Disembark Clump Point Marine Facility, transfer to Porters Promenade for dinner (own expense)
- 7:00pm - Coach departs Mission beach Post Office
- 9.00pm - Coach arrives Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal with hotel drops in Abbott and Lake Streets to follow
