Great value, great experience

Really happy I decided to splurge and do it, as a backpacker with a tight budget, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to check out the Great Barrier Reef and actually learn to scuba dive. CDC was the perfect option for what I wanted: -Great value. The equipment and boat are not the newest, but that's not what I was looking for. I was looking for a budget option to spend meaningful time on the reef while also learning and getting experience scuba diving. -Awesome guidance. This is really where CDC shined. Rob, our instructor, really made our class and whole experience fun. Loved his enthusiasm and positivity, as well as his patient teaching technique. Top notch service. -Overall just a well run company that made scuba diving fun, affordable, and accessible. They love what they do and it really shows once you go through the course. Tips: -If you're debating the 1 day Fitzroy, 1 day Reef or this one; definitely pick this one. The Fitzroy divers had fun but the small upcharge in price is totally worth getting out to the reef twice. -If you're looking for the best equipment and more personalized instruction, I would choose a more premium option. Mentioned above, this is a great value option. -If you have a mustache, definitely google tips on scuba mask and mustache! Huge shout out to Rob, the boat staff, and everyone else for teaching and certifying me to scuba dive while showing us the beautiful Great Barrier Reef! Will try and add some photos once I receive them from our group!
