For a Cairns person to recommend this is saying something. Great guides. Matty even gave us some time to learn to upskill. My wife and daughter also felt great to get out in our local wonderland. We will go again. You will find out a lot of information about the region and it’s history. Thanks for a trip of fun exercise, relaxing and fresh fruit. New sport for me as a kite boarder. Loved it.

The horses are well trained working horses and are not your typical follow the leader trail horses. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable.

My wife and I had no experience in riding horses but we had an incredible time and would highly recommended this to others. Thanks Kirsten for your patience and insightful knowledge which made us feel relaxed to enjoy the experience

LOVED IT! We had a stunning sunset, friendly hosts and we didn't have to deal with the numbers you see on the larger boats. I also was interested in the history of the boat. Great job!

Rough seas out made for an interesting morning, but Captain Lisa did her best to make it smooth as possible. Rest of staff handled us with aplomb, smiles on faces and a terrific attitude. Reef spots were wonderful. Boat clean. All good. Recommend highly.

Thank you so much for taking care of us, and showing us this beautiful part of the world! From the moment we stepped on the boat we knew we were in good hands. Special shoutout to Alison for her assistance in making sure I was relaxed with the snorkel and the marine biologist (apologies I’ve forgotten your name!) who gave a really fantastic presentation on the marine life we saw. A snorkel safari was also thrown in which was fabulous also. Two of my teen kids opted to use a life jacket and a pool noodle, I too went with the noodle so I could just relax and look around. Food was fantastic also. Can’t wait to come again sometime in the future and I will not hesitate in booking through with these guys again!

Brilliant tour, just nine in our group. I chose this over a reef tour partly because of cost and because weather had been poor for the last few days. We turned back early because one of the group was unwell with the swell but this meant we had time to go up river where we saw a crocodile. Only downside was that one of the group was very loud and offensive about various people(s) but you can't blame the crew for this! They were very informative and fun and the included drink and snacks were a nice touch. So, if you want a great small group experience this is ideal

Great… no sunset regrettably, rained but serene and beautiful conditions… the operators made it a fantastic experience! I will do it again in a heartbeat as a local.. a great way to get out on the water

I treated myself and my mum to a sunset cruise and I’m so glad I did! The crew were friendly and informative and it was so relaxing to be out on the water. The food & complimentary drink was a great start to the evening too. The boat is beautiful & very well maintained.

My wife, my Daughter,some close friends and I, recently enjoyued a sunset cruise in Port Douglas on the Shaolin and would recommend it to anyone. The staff on board were so welcoming and friendly, as well as being able to tell us the history of the Junk and of course great local knowlege. On the evening we were oin board, the waters around Port Douglas were very choppy, and the Shaolin is one of the only sunset cruises that has the option of travelling up Dicksons Inlet, so a calm trip is guarenteed in case you are worried about seasickness. We had a fantastic night for my birthday and would advise anyone heading to Port Douglas, to make sure you add the Shaolin to your to do list. The only other advise would be, make sure you book prior to arriving in Port Douglas to ensure your place on board. Whether it's a day tout to snorkel at the Low Isles, or the sunset cruise, the Shaolin should be your first choice!

We thoroughly enjoyed our sail on board this historical junk with the Shaolin crew. Best way to spend an afternoon drifting along with drinks & snacks a plenty. A great relaxed atmosphere with free choice of sitting beneath or above deck. Although we didn’t get to see a sunset due to the blocking sun, it was still a memorable experience.

After some delays due to weather experienced a relacing inlet cruise. Most recomended for service and hospitality. Must do activity whilst on holiday

It was absolute bliss, taking in the views of the area on the Shaolin. The Captain and his 1st mate were welcoming, friendly and informative. Great start to our holiday!

What a great experience. The Shaolin is a beautiful boat. Crew were friendly and helpful. Canapes and drinks great but just the sail out from Port Douglas and seeing the sunset was amazing. Highlight of our trip from Melbourne.

My partner and I really enjoy our sunset cruise with the crew on the Shaolin we had gorgeous weather. Excellent value for money and overall a wonderful experience.

Booked this for my parents who were here on holidays. They haven’t stopped raving about how amazing the cruise and food was not to mention how friendly the team working on board were. Well worth checking out.

If you're looking to snorkel, learn about the reef from a knowledgeable marine biologist, relax, enjoy delicious food, and be pleasantly entertained with the soothing acoustic sounds of a talented crew member then you simply can't miss this amazing day cruise!

We had a wonderful day of sailing, snorkelling and sitting on the beach. The buffet lunch was yummy with unlimited prawns. One of the best day trips I've done.

Quiet enjoyable, the food was pretty good however you had to eat on your lap. The marine biologist Tatiana was very informative however one guy fried us in the sun with a massive speech stating the obvious. I think it is too expensive for what it is at the normal price of $195 so was glad I got it cheaper on Book me.

What a fantastic memory to have sailed with my best friends in Port Douglas. The captain had a wonderful sense of humour and the lady on the boat was so friendly and caring and made us feel all at home. Seeing the friendly dog wag his tail when we arrived back was su h a beautiful end to our trio as he waited for his treat ❤️ highly recommend this trip

From the moment we stepped onto the wharf we where made to feel very welcomed! The history told by Connor of the junk boat was amazing great to see such a beautiful boat restored. We where all made comfortable before we set sail. With drinks and our seating arrangements but you can move around the boat if you choose to also. The music playing was lovely, the conversation was flowing amongst guest, it was a lovely afternoon cannot rate it highly enough!! The food was amazing .... so fresh and plenty of it. You was given your individual boxes but there was additional plates placed on tables to help yourself. It was such a lovely afternoon and another great way to see Port Douglas. Would highly recommend this team for any boat experience you have in mind as they do a few options!

This was an amazing experience I have had in life. I went for a day trip with Snorkelling instead of a lunch buffet because my tour in Cairns was cancelled due to short staff. The team only 3 people but they were so nice, helpful and provide us with a lot of food. I saw many turtles and sharks. That was so impressive. Highly recommend everyone to consider to go this tour. One more thing, the owner is Aussie so please support Australian business :)
