Daniel said... Whilst the day trip around the islands was very good, our issue was with the stay on long beach. The resort was beautiful however we were never informed that the restaurant at the hotel had been shut down for three days. This left us, after a long day of touring, with nowhere to eat dinner. Upon arrival at the resort we were informed by the staff, who sounded baffled at the fact we hadn’t been told to bring our own food to cook at self maintained lodges, the restaurant was closed. Thank goodness that the convenience store was open for us to buy some packet rice and eggs, otherwise we would have been left with no food from lunchtime (around 12:30) until 4pm the next day after drop off. On top of this we weren’t informed that check out was 10am and therefore had to pay extra to keep the room until 2pm as pick up was 3pm. Overall the day tour was good and had the restaurant been open and check out been later it would have been a great trip. Just happened on this occasion that there was closure of the restaurant and a lack of communication and information
