1. Depart on ZigZag Whitsundays Day Tour from Airlie Beach and visit Whitehaven Beach, Plus experience a guided walk to the new south lookout overlooking Whitehaven Beach and surrounding islands. You will also get to snorkel coral-filled bays with all equipment included. Then ZigZag Will drop you at Palm Bay Resort on Long Island.
2. Stay in the beachfront villa at Palm Bay Resort for the night; these villas are the perfect choice for couples who want to relax in their own beachfront room. The villa is neat and bright with a large queen size bed, dining table for two, a two-seater lounge and coffee table there is plenty of room to relax with a cosy private deck and hammock. The Beachfront Villas also have an ensuite, air conditioning, fan, bar fridge, kettle and a small safe. Villas include towels and linen. ZigZag will pick you up around 3 pm on the 2nd day and bring you back to Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach around 4 pm

ZigZag Day Whitsundays Package Information
Meeting Time: at Coral Sea Marina Northern Village at 8 am
The Boat – ZigZag Whitsundays is a 39ft Naiad boat with FOUR engines totalling 1200 horsepower! The vessel is fast, yet, extremely comfortable ride, allowing guests of all adventure levels to take part.
ZigZag is limited to just 35 guests, making sure you get the small group tour experience
Whitehaven Beach – This is the most popular Part of our Whitsundays Holiday Package. Explore up to 2 hours on Whitehaven Beach, now Including a guided bushwalk to the New South Whitehaven Lookout opened in July 2019. During the stopover at Whitehaven Beach, discover the brand new Lookout that overseas all 7km of Whitehaven Beach plus 120-degree views of the Whitsunday Islands. This new Lookout is impressive and has to be seen to be believed. The walk is 1km each way, a medium level of fitness is required. If you wish to not join in the lookout walk, you can stay on the beach and explore or relax.
After the walk, the crew will serve a buffet lunch on the beach.
Snorkeling - If you love snorkeling and want to see the beautiful coral of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, then this holiday package is for you. ZigZags qualified crew chooses the best snorkel locations that suit the conditions. Snorkel locations can include Chalkies Bay, Luncheon Bay and Border Island, and a secret bay we keep quiet. (you will see why) Our tropical waters are bubbling with tropical fish and turtles year-round! Whitsundays areas of reef are sheltered by the Whitsunday islands and have an extensive, range of stunning colours and abundant sea life.

Palm Bay Resort is a stunning boutique resort nestled on Long Island, one of the iconic islands of the Great Barrier Reef group; Palm Bay offers spacious villas with extensive views to the Whitsunday passage and Coral Sea.
Offering complete tranquillity and seclusion, Palm Bay has been designed to blend into its natural surroundings and is simply a stone's throw from some of Australia’s most iconic reefs and beaches. The resort has a maximum of 60 guests so you can be assured of total serenity.
Included in our Whitsundays Holiday Package, you will get a private villa room, right on the beach! (see pictures above)

Currently, the restaurant is not operating. However, the resort is self-catering and you can bring your own food.

Departures: From Coral Sea Marina Northern Village in Airlie Beach daily at 8.00 am meeting, returning the next day between 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm depending on transfer times allocated for that day.
Meeting point: Please make your own way to Coral Sea Marina either by car or walking. The meeting is Coral Sea Marina North end village roundabout at 8 am. Meeting point for a return transfer is at the resort front beach at 2.45 pm (same place zigzag drops you off the night before)

A weekend in paradise!
My boyfriend and I, and are two friends, absolutely loved this Island retreat. The whole package was fantastic and I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy a more relaxed and special trip to the Whitsundays. The day tour to the Whitsundays was brilliant with Zig Zag and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. We visited the famous Whitehaven and a few other snorkelling spots and even though it was all within one day it didn’t feel rushed at all. The night at Palm Bay Resort exceed all expectations. There were drinks awaiting our arrival and the staff again were super friendly and were always willing to offer their help and advice. We went on walks around the untouched grounds spotting all sorts of wildlife - wallabies included! We went kayaking and snorkelling in the bay, we enjoyed cocktails in the pool - the whole weekend was fantastic and so well organised. The hut overlooked the beach and was immaculate and had everything you needed. It felt we were the only ones there! Thank you so much - we recommend it to everyone we speak to!

Misinformed
Whilst the day trip around the islands was very good, our issue was with the stay on long beach. The resort was beautiful however we were never informed that the restaurant at the hotel had been shut down for three days. This left us, after a long day of touring, with nowhere to eat dinner. Upon arrival at the resort we were informed by the staff, who sounded baffled at the fact we hadn’t been told to bring our own food to cook at self maintained lodges, the restaurant was closed. Thank goodness that the convenience store was open for us to buy some packet rice and eggs, otherwise we would have been left with no food from lunchtime (around 12:30) until 4pm the next day after drop off. On top of this we weren’t informed that check out was 10am and therefore had to pay extra to keep the room until 2pm as pick up was 3pm. Overall the day tour was good and had the restaurant been open and check out been later it would have been a great trip. Just happened on this occasion that there was closure of the restaurant and a lack of communication and information

Fun boat with a beautiful resort stay.
Zig Zag tours was excellent! The boat was fun and very speedy across the water. The crew, Kay, Mel and Taz were great, very friendly and helpful at all the stops throughout. The stops were beautiful. Wewere then dropped off at Palm Bay Resort which is stunning! The rainforest right next to the beach. We cooked our own food, provided by Zig Zag for an extra fee and it was delicious! Definitely recommend this option. The facilities at Palm Bay Resort was great as were all the staff and I would stay again. This combo deal was a perfect mix of fun and relaxation.

Island resort stay with zig zag tour
The best get away I have ever had, I only wish we'd stayed longer. This is a fantastic experience for couples or anyone looking to escape to a beautiful, tranquil and remote island. The Zig Zag tour on the fast boat was awesome, Whitehaven beach was absolutely stunning and snorkeling the reefs was amazing. We will definitely book this again in the future. Just perfect!
