We had an incredible time and would recommend this trip to anyone! We saw so many beautiful marine wildlife along the way - dugongs, turtles, rays and sharks at Whitehaven, and so much more! The crew are amazing too and keep you fed, happy and safe the whole time!

As I'd never been in a kayak before, I was unsure of this experience... but so pleased we gave it a go. The operator was friendly, polite, & very informative. Definitely kayak around to the bay, as this is where we saw the most turtles. Actually saw more turtles here, than we did during our whole 2wk stay in Airlie Beach. If you're keen to see turtles, then this is the place. Maybe we were lucky on this particular day, as there's no guarantees....but definitely worth a try, given it was a cheap couple of hours!

It was truly a great experience. 2 hours simply wasn’t enough. Met up with other couples where we danced , laughed and had a memorable time.

Charlie was easy to find at the airport, very welcoming and informative during our drive to the accommodation.. 10 out of 10.

Kayaking around in the Whitsunday aqua waters was magical when we spotted several large turtles rising through the water.

couldn't have asked for a better trip! The crew was awesome and gave us lots of information about the places we went to and what the schedule was. We got up early to be at Whitehaven Beach before all the other tourists and got nice pictures. The food is super delicious and there is loads. The atmosphere on the boat is very relaxed and in the evening it's fine to sit around and have some drinks. The snorkeling was great too and we saw some big fish and a turtle! Thanks a lot to the crew for the great trip!

We had an absolutely incredible trip, we were on a beautiful Catamaran boat. The three crew were great, they cooked all of our meals and we were NEVER hungry, so much food! Tim was great, walked us up to the lookout over Whitehaven beach and boated us around to all of our snorkel locations. We were the first at every spot and the last to leave. We had Whitehaven to ourselves for the first part of the morning! Same with the snorkel locations, first there and last to leave. The sunsets were incredible and everyone was so friendly and nice on the boat, it can be as chill or as party as you make it. Only thing I would recommend is to take LOTS of sunscreen and a hat as there isn't much shade on the boat and the Sun is Strong! Also if you have your own snorkel then take it as the ones on the boat are pretty average...but good enough :) This was the best thing we did on our roadtrip of East Australia, would 100% recommend! THANKS SO MUCH! xx

The whole crew aboard the avatar helped make this trip amazing. The whitsundays and it's wildlife if are a real gem on the East coast but this was made an even better trip by the atmosphere on the boat. Although no bed sizes were modest this was to be expected when on a boat trip. The food was to a high standard and plentiful. I would happily book again.!!

Nice cruise out friendly staff very relaxing only thing was the complementary wine. They should give a choice of a soft drink for the people that don’t drink wine !

My son and I had so much fun it starting off arguing then ended up a great shared experience we worked out that team effort was the way to go and got to share a fun experience saw turtles and we wanted more there was no pressure in returning the kayak in time as safety was the most important lived it

After arriving in Airlie beach during a potential cyclone we weren’t very sure if we could do anything enjoyable. Then we found the kayaking and paddle boarding experience. The clouds parted and the sun came shining out. We paid for four hours in the end and really got to know the wildlife, turtle bay and islands. The Greek goddess instructor was absolutely wonderfully helpful and fun to talk with and helped my partner to feel one with the waves. We will definitely be coming back to find more. We saw a manatee, fish and lots of turtles. It was pretty windy but for two people who aren’t in the best of fittness (as we now realise) it was really enjoyable and worth it (no pain, no gain) thank you very much! We will be back xoxox

Had a lovely day although not a drop of wind, so no sails up, which meant a slow trip out to the islands. Lovely mix of people. A couple of nice snorkels and swims and a yummy lunch.

It is a great experience to snorkle and swim in coral water near the island, view is beautiful and staffs are very nice. Will recommend it to my friends.

By far the most exciting and scariest thing I have done by far. I went with a group of nervous friends 4 of us all up, we were picked up from our accomodation and taken to the jump site. We each received our own tandem jumper who made us all feel comfortable. The breathtaking views took over any fear we had once we jumped! Definitely a life changing experience that I can't wait to do again!

What an awesome boat we had an amazing time and we're kept well entertained with steves running commentary, would do this again in a heart beat. Was my first time and I think I like it lol. So make sure you grab a seat strap in and you will enjoy it.

It was such an awesome experience to sail through the Whitsundays with such a funny and lovely crew! I'm so thankful of having seen the Whitheaven Beach in the morning as the tide was still low and as there were nearly nobody !!!!

La migliore esperienza fatta in tutta la settimana di vacanza. É stato magnifico. I ragazzi e il capitano sono fantastici. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene.. Ci siamo abbronzati stesi sulla barca.. Abbiamo fatto snorkeling.. Visto tartarughe e aquile. Ci siamo divertiti un sacco. Devo dire che la compagnia di persone con cui farai il viaggio conta molto...ma è impossibile non essere soddisfatto. Lo rifarei altre mille volte. Grazie Sammy Matty e the boss..

This was an amazing trip. We had a great time, the staff is amazing and they were always trying to make the most of our time. We went snorkeling, swimming and saw amazing beaches. Would totally recommend it

We loved it ! Really enjoyed ourselves. The crew is fantastic, the food delicious and the scenery exceptional ! If you want to have fun, chill, snorkel, see whales, dolphins, turtles, stingrays and mindblowing landscapes, this tour is for you ! =D Thank you all for these wonderful 2 days.

What an amazing 2 days on the Matador with an amazing fun crew! The weather forecast was definitely not on our side for this trip. The first reef was ok - lots of fish but the reef itself has had suffered lots of damage from different cyclones. The second stop was amazing. Tons of beautiful fish, and we've got to meet Big George and Boy George. The rest of our monday was enjoyed in very wet rainy weather with lots of hot coffee. Dinner was served at our overnight stop and we even saw a shark! Day 2 started early and off we went to Whitehaven. 3 h was enough time for tons of selfies, exploring the area, going for a swim and enjoying this always changing beach! Go! 5☆!

Had such an amazing tour! Couldnt fault it. Even though the weather was a bit on and off, we still had a great time! Our highlight was snorkeling and seeing all the colourful fish. Also happy with how they catered to vegetarians and vegans

Nice experience. We arrived first on whiteheaven beach. The food was really nice and tasty. The crew is helpful. They are serious about security on the boat. 3 times snorkeling. Not a party boat, but you can have drinks. Thx

Captain Mark saved Eddie the white bellied sea eagle from drowning and he escorts the Matador through the passage between Hook & Whitsunday Island every trip in & out - simply incredible to witness the bond they have. I can't even begin to tell you of the myriad of colours of the fish and coral we saw, their local knowledge is priceless & for the price you pay it is worth so much more. If it was only for the crew and their plans I'd instantly give 5 stars! They cared for us and planned our trip according to tide and tourism (which means we had White Heaven Beach nearly to our-selves) The sailing and all the information about marine life and sailing it-self were great. Also the food was simple but really good. Only reason there's just 4 stars is my subjective feeling that 2 snorkling spots plus a 2.5 hour visit at White Heaven Beach are a little too less for the money you pay. But maybe that's just me. (If the water had been warmer foer the better snorkling experience, the whole trip would have been 5 starsprobably.)

We chose Matador because they were cheap, but the quality is here ! Captain Mark is awesome, and Samy vert fun ! Very professional for the snorkeling session and on the boat. Just the time stayed on Whitehaven beach As a little too short, but it’s okay. So very good experience

Definetly worth it! Funny and carefull crew, experienced captain, try to sail, comfy beds, possibility to sleep on dock (but without mattress) not luxurious but great food (make your own sandwich, spagetti and basic breakfast) nice snorkling experience ans spots (2). We were alone in whiteheaven beach and in the snorkling spots!Like most of the boats, they don't provide fins to protect the corals.

We rang up Matador as we couldn't believe the cheap price on Bookme! Absolutely well worth the money. We had 2 really good days abroad Matador, the crew (Fabien, Craig and Cal) were all great and the experience was fantastic. Would do it all again and have already recommended people to go on the trip! Do it!

We saw turtles and went to the Afterparty. It was really fun!

Captain Mark and his crew were amazing! We were well fed, given enough space to do what we wanted, and saw some amazing spots. Ask Captian Mark about his shipwreck and being stranded out at sea (and read his book before going)! Only downside to the trip was the heat in the sleeping area - having so many bodies in there did make it hot, but we were able to go out on the deck to sleep too (it was nice weather). Sleeping quarters had adequate space though - never felt cramped! Definitely recommend Matador for anyone backpacking through the area!
