Took the Savannahlander from Cairns to Kuranda. It departs a little early but well worth it for a much smaller train with lots of history and some 'family's drivers (for those who have seen Railroad Australia). You might even get some extra stops along the way.

Overall it Ended up a beautiful day out with the sun out and the pictures taken very colorful and postcard material A very fun and safe experience. I highly recommend this company should you find a good deal via book.me It cost me $129. Such a good cost than a helicopter ride that would cost over $200 usually. The "wet season" in cairns brings better deals I found too as tourism is low at this time of year. Something to keep in mind. Best to come around in January overall is what I have found. There is a chance of rain but I personally had a good run with the weather so I feel very grateful

Myself and my son had a great trip. Although the weather in the morning was poor we were offered an afternoon flight and by then, the sun was out. It was a great experience and lovely to see the wonders of the reef from between 500 and 1500 feet. Thanks

Blown away. We were treated to a spectacular flight with awesome weather conditions. Tom the pilot did an excellent job. He was very friendly, informative and had a great sense of humour. The scenic flight was amazing, view was awesome and flight was very comfortable. Also a big thumbs up to Judy behind the counter, lovely personality. Keep up the excellent work guys. We will see you again for the Cape or Lizard Island trips.

Great experience! The flight really shows you the reef from a different perspective and you can see how massive it really is. Our pilot was very friendly and did quite a few turns in the air, so everyone could get a good view and pictures. Unfortunately our plane was slightly bigger and we flew quite high, whereas another girl got on a smaller plane with only 4 people and they managed to spot manta rays as well. Really enjoyed the flight and would definitely recommend!

Great viewing of various reefs including Green Island. The fixed wing plane was comfortable and every passenger had a window seat. Our pilot was professional and knowledgeable and the ground staff in the office were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed every minute.

This flight was amazing!! The pilot and ground crew were both professional and friendly and the flight itself smooth and exciting! I booked this flight as a 70th birthday present for my Mum. I hit the jackpot! Having lived in Cairns for most of our lives we are very familiar with the Great Barrier Reef and have visited the reef and Islands by boat countless times. However, nothing prepared us for the view we got from the plane.... it was breathtakingly beautiful! As for the booking experience and the aviation company, I rate them 5 stars too. A very smooth process, good communication and outstanding customer service. If you’re a FNQ local who has never seen the reef from the sky (not just from a domestic flight.... that doesn’t come close!), book this experience ASAP! You won’t regret it! And if you’re tourist to our region, put this experience at the top of your list! I can now admit that you haven’t truly seen the Great Barrier Reef until you’ve flown over it! My Mum and I loved this experience so much!

We would give this 10 stars if we could. No one else booked on the day so we ended up having a private charter in a 4 seater plane. We picked a forecasted we sunny - low wind day, at low tide, and it was perfect! The sights were magnificent!! The pilot did a 60 degree turn about 500 ft above Oyster Cay - it was so much fun. Definitely a MUST do experience! My only feedback is to be sure to look out for the email directly from the company - Daintree Air Services. It landed in my junk mail and the Book Me email didn’t list the company name so we had a hard time locating them as maps didn’t take you to the right location.

Best day of my life so far! I’ve been to the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef a few times and this was hands down the best tourist activity I have done! Company is very lovely to deal with, pilot is so professional and makes you feel super comfortable. Such good value for money! I’ll be back!
