The HMAS Brisbane, a 5000 tonne Guided Missile Destroyer, served faithfully for 34 years before being decommissioned in 2001. Some of her missions included the Vietnam and Golf wars. In 2003 she was sunk east of Mudjumba Island, off of the Sunshine Coast, and now serves as a world class recreational diving destination and artificial reef attracting divers from all over the globe
Sunreef, which has been operating since 1976, is has the mid ship moorings, allowing you the easiest access and most relaxed experience.
There is certainly a lot of ship to see, just cruising around the outside you get a perspective on her sheer size, what an awesome site. With water temperatures range between 18 and 27 degrees, and visibility averaging 15 to 20 metres, this is one fantastic place to dive
This trip includes your scuba guide and transfer to the dive site aboard the purpose built 11m Kevla Cat. You will have time for 2 relaxed dives that cover the whole wreck. If you require gear hire this can be arranged direct with Sunreef as below so as required:
Trip takes a total of 3 hours, departing from Sunreef Dive Shop, Mooloolaba. Actual departure times may vary from below, Sunreef will advise of departure time the day prior
