Perfect for both kids and adults, learn to surf in a fun and supportive environment with the Coolum Surfing School!
Your lesson will start with a short surf awareness presentation where you’ll learn how the ocean works, how waves break, what a rip or sweep is and how to spot a safe swimming spot or surfing area. You’ll also learn what to do if you are ever in trouble in the ocean and how to get yourself out of a rip.
Once you’ve learnt the ins and outs of the ocean, the fun part begins with a quick demonstration and practice on how to stand on the surfboards before catching some waves!
This 2hr beginner surf lesson is perfect solo or with a friend or family member! Learn how to navigate the waves and have a great time on the ocean!

Great experience
My 2 young boys went out with Stefan and Steve. Neither listened to the briefing and instructions, but with the guidance and patience of the instructors, they both got up and had such a great time. My advice is to have no expectations, and enjoy it for what it is. Thanks so much guys!

Chris is an awesome coach
Chris is awesome, 2 hours course we spent almost 90% time in water, Chris gave us a lot of useful tips and guided us in water. Recommend this place if you want learn how to surf.

Awesome class
