Experience a night out on the Calypso watching the sunset over Hervey Bay. Think of calm waters, local wildlife, and stunning sunsets.

This is a BYO vessel so you and your group can enjoy the drinks (including alcoholic) and snacks of your liking while out on the water.

Calypso is our unique vessel with a large fold-down door at the bow for easy convenient pick-ups and drop-offs directly to the beach. This is the only vessel to offer this unique experience in Hervey Bay.

Tours depart from the Great Sandy Straits Marina. You can find our office (Hervey Bay Whale Watch) & Calypso at the bottom of the ramp at the Marina near the Tourist Terminal & Cafe Balena - Berth A1, Great Sandy Straits Marina, Urangan, Queensland, Australia

Legal Drinking Age Enforced

  • To consume Alcohol you must be over the legal drinking age. You may be asked to produce Government Issued ID to prove your age.

Bad Weather Refunds

  • If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the bad weather, safety concerns, unscheduled maintenance etc) you will be entitled to a full refund.

Notes

    • Hervey Bay Whale Watch reserves the right to substitute another vessel at any time
    • Cruise may be cancelled or substituted due to weather or tide conditions or if viable passenger numbers are not reached.


    Departure Times:

    • 4.30PM and returns at 6.15PM daily (October - May only)
    • 4PM and returns at 5.45PM daily (June - September only)
