Embrace your inner adventurer and venture deep into ancient, tropical rainforest. Cool off with a refreshing swim or spot some friendly turtles at a beautiful natural waterfall.
A tropical rainforest and waterfall discovery. This tour will meet you at your accommodation and take you on a short drive out of Airlie Beach and into the Conway National Park where we start our guided walk for the day.
As we venture down into the rainforest we’ll stop along the way to discover unique plants and animals and learn about the areas rich history and culture. Be on the lookout for colourful birds and butterflies flying beneath the great forest canopy and listen for the rustle of leaves as Lace Monitor lizards search for a spot in the sun. Snap a photo from beneath an ancient strangler fig tree and rest beneath the shade of the palms. This 3km return walk follows a wide, sturdy trail with some gradual up and down hill sections.
Within just a short drive we'll find ourselves at Cedar Creek Falls; nature’s perfect backdrop for an hour perched on a rock watching turtles, looking for that perfect angle to capture the waterfall on camera or enjoying a refreshing, invigorating swim beneath the waterfall.
Thank you for your kind words! We look forward to seeing you next time. The AA team
We really enjoyed this tour, we love rainforest and Alice made it very interesting, we learned a lot. You do need a reasonable level of fitness for the walk. The refreshing fruit for morning tea and light lunch by the waterfall were greatly appreciated. Very worthwhile tour!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. We're so pleased you found in interesting and worthwhile. Thanks again!
Thanks for the great review - we're so pleased you were amazed by the beautiful rainforest and managed to see the waterfall in full flow!
This walk offers something different to all the other sea based activities you will find in Airlie. We were pleasantly surprised when Alice came to pick us up, since her other group felt sick, but she didn't cancel on us even if we were just me and my partner, which other tours might have done. The walk was informative and we enjoyed getting to know about the ecosystem and various plants and animals of the rainforest. The tour ends at cedar creek falls where you will swim in a spectacular fresh water lake and eat a healthy lunch before heading back. Taken care of from start to finish, an enjoyable afternoon from a to z.
Thank you so much for your kind words Clint & Rachel. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you both and sharing the morning with you. Enjoy the rest of your travels!
Thanks so much for the great review. We're so pleased you enjoyed the tour. You'll have to come back again in the wet season to see the waterfall in all its glory!
