Jasmine said... Mark is an excellent guide who has extensive historic, geograhic and economic knowledge of the Port Arthur historic site. During the journey to the site, he engaged the tour participants from various countries in lively conversation. He kept our interest high at various stops along the way where he highlighted off-the-radar points of interest, letting us the opportunity to take snapshots safely from the road shoulder, and gave us sufficient time to explore the area at each stop. Selected chapters from the instructional DVD that he played along the way also helped us to understand the history of Port Arthur and her inhabitants. Being a mindful guide, he ferried a participant to the airport as she had to catch a plane near the end of our tour, and also gave my mum a Tasmanian souvenir after he learned that it was her birthday. Strongly recommended!
