Explore Hobart’s mighty Mount Wellington by mountain bike in this epic tour for keen mountain bike enthusiasts...

Highlights

  • Explore “The Mountain” - spannning 3 local government boundaries, a national park and several private properties
  • Navigate exciting terrain and narrow trails on epic mountain biking trails
  • Enjoy a unique style of riding that is some of the best in the country
  • Our awesome guides offer great advice and will have you riding The Mountain like a local
  • Plenty of stops along the way to point out interesting features and take postcard worthy photos
  • Top off the experience with a drink at the local cafe or pub!

Get ready to explore kunanyi/ Mount Wellington and the network of Hobart’s mountain bike tracks. We’ll show you where to go and how to link it all together so that in no time you’ll be riding The Mountain like a local.

Suitable for intermediate and above level mountain bikers, this adventurous ride will take you on narrow single tracks with rocks, roots, tight corners and varied terrain. You’ll get a guided single track odyssey and see the best mountain biking Hobart has to offer.

We meet in Midtown, Hobart’s coolest destination, above "The Stagg" cafe, where you'll meet your guides, get kitted out, then jump on our bus, "The Sir David". We then head up to Mt Wellington and enjoy stunning views along the way as we drive to the trailhead at The Springs.

Our guides will set you up on one of our specialized Fuse Hardtails bikes with fat tyres, have a quick briefing and then we are off riding Hobart’s best single track all the way back to South Hobart with plenty of stops along the way to point out interesting features and take photos.

Someone said all good bike rides start in a cafe and end in a pub and we couldn’t agree more. We finish this epic tour in Midtown at either a local pub, rum bar, craft beer brew bar or just enjoying a Cascade on the sidewalk.

Awesome

Jono and Josh were amazing. I had a fall and was taken into hospital and they were supportive throughout, and still managed to give my partner an amazing bike riding experience. Than you so much guys, definitely recommend.

Very accommodating!

Despite a mix up with the booking, John arranged a MTB ride with Bruno which was excellent. Thanks also to Josh for dropping us off & the refreshing beer afterwards.

Unforgettable experience

I would recommend this experience highly to anyone and everyone who loves a bike ride. There are other MTB experiences, but this is THE BEST one. Our guide Jono was knowledgeable, gave great advice on anything and everything, including some local bush tucker and spotting wild platypus, trout and eels. This is not just riding a bike, it is the best way to see Hobart. Jono ensured that we rode down paths that were specific to our riding ability. As a beginner, I felt safe and wasn’t just left alone to conquer the tracks alone. I would definitely do this again !!
