The popular Port Arthur Mega Day Shuttle will see you journey via Richmond through the Tasman Peninsula to Port Arthur, Australia's most intact and most visited World Heritage convict site! This tour offers great flexibility allowing you to choose between destinations and attractions (see below).
Begin with a convenient pick up at your accommodation in the Hobart area.. Once on board, our first stop is the Rosny Lookout offering great views of Hobart and Mt Wellington., We then head to Richmond Historic Village for 30 mins, home of Australia's oldest bridge. Stop for early refreshments and get that legendary photo by the bridge before setting off to the Tasman coastline to discover the towering cliff and ocean views and scenery you will never forget.
Arrive at Pirates Bay lookout and take in the spectacular panoramic views of Pirates Bay and the Tasman Ocean... A short drive away from here lies the famous "Dogline" at Eaglehawk Neck and some of Tasmania's best natural wonders including the Tasman Arch & Devils Kitchen. Discover these unique geological formations and the "Dogline" on our short coastal walk (easy).
En route to Port Arthur take an optional tour to the Devil Wildlife Park (1hr.15mins at the park and 2hr.45 mins at Port Arthur recommended).
The afternoon will be filled with history and wonder at the Port Arthur Historic Site. The tour will spend 4 hours here, allowing time for a full guided walking tour and access to over 30 buildings, ruins and restored houses. Collected on time from our accomodation, and so began a full and fascinating day out. We saw points of interest we would otherwise have never known about and Mark (our driver and guide) was a wealth of fascinating background information and anecdotes. Not having to do our own driving allowed us to devote our attention to the scenery and history of this part of Tasmania, so was without doubt a real bonus. Our thanks to Mark and I would recommend this tour with no hesitation.
My wife and I participated in the Port Arthur Mega Tour yesterday. Our driver and guide Mark was delightful. He was full of personality and knowledge keeping everyone on the bus involved in conversations I. Relation to a wide range of topics. He could also sing the Japan National Anthem - Yes we had one young Japanese lady onboard. He pick each of us up from our hotels an return us back to them at the end of the day. He was truly inspiring. I would recommend this tour as your No.1 choice of tours in Tasmania.
Thank you to Mark who showed us some very special historic sites and made the whole experience personal and unforgettable. Mark also took us to the airport so that we did not miss our flight back to Brisbane. What a nice bloke!

Port Arthur Plus
Great tour guide gave entertaining and interesting commentary on the journey. Frequent stops to take in points of interest en route. Port Arthur is a must see destination to appreciate the physical, organisational and human challenges of establishing Australia’s early European settlement.
