Port Arthur & Isle of the Dead Tour Departing Hobart

Experience a day of fascination and wonder as Adventure Island Tours showcase the stunning region of Tasmania and Australia's number 1 historic site at Port Arthur followed by a memorable Isle of the Dead" walking tour and cruise.

We'll first set off to explore the Tasmanian coastline by comfortable air conditioned minivan, stopping at the Richmond Historic Village, home of Australia's oldest bridge, elegant Georgian architecture and beautiful heritage buildings. Upon next reaching Eagle Hawke Neck and Pirates Bay lookout, you will behold spectacular panoramic views before we head to some of Tasmania's best natural wonders - the blowhole and the Tasman Arch.

Lap up the last of the sight-seeing expedition with a walk to Devils Kitchen and the Remarkable cave (summer time) before we head to the Port Arthur Historic Site.

Walk in the footsteps of Hobart's convicts and learn about their everyday hardships and brutality on a fascinating 3 hour walking tour which brings history to life! You can explore over 30 buildings, ruins and restored houses plus visit the interpretation gallery & museum to get your fill of Hobart History.

To top it all off, we'll finish with a 1 hour “Isle of the Dead” cruise and walking tour - be prepared, this is not for the faint hearted!
