Important Visitor Information

The health and safety of our staff and visitors is of paramount importance to the Museum. While we’re currently open to the public we have made the decision to close parts of the museum that pose a potential risk to visitors including confined spaces and high touch areas.

As a result, as of Sunday 15 March our vessels, 3D cinema and Kids on Deck will be temporarily closed until further notice. The Museum itself will remain open and visitors are invited to experience the galleries and our current exhibitions, Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Sea Monsters. We will continue to monitor the situation and take the advice of NSW Health if further action is required.

Maritime Museum in Sydney

Although it was a wet day we had a great day, spending several hours mostly on the Endeavour replica sailing ship and other boats as it was my husband's dream as a sailor to go aboard the Endeavour before she sailed off on her journey. Really interesting to see the conditions aboard. Highly recommended!

Good day out

Well worth a visit and was very good for price, thought this wasn’t legit but no issues and staff were were polite and helpful. One thing to note we had to go back the following day to get on the sub/warship when temperatures exceed 35 inside the boat they close that part down, so well worth going early to ensure u get access

Great Day Out

Took my 4 year old grandson and we had a wonderful day. So many different things to do and see. We got to explore and learn about the war ship HMAS Vampire, coast guard vessel and submarine HMAS Onslow. Also watched the 3D video of the Sea Monsters and had the hands on e experience of exploring the fossils. We had play in the kids room mski by our own sea monsters from fabrics and other art and craft. There were blocks and lego and a water play area.
