mariesophiek said... We enjoyed the tour as K‘gari is such a beautiful island. The stops we did were all really nice and we had enough time to chill out and go for a swim. The stops were planned in the best order matching the right weather (we went to the rainforest when it was raining and when the sun came out we spent time at lake McKenzie to go for a swim). Everyone of our group who wanted to drive the car was able to do so either on the beach or in the forest. BUT we think that our guide (Mick) had really bad communication skills. No one of the group did know where we are going next and how long the drive would be. As we stopped he vanished and was seen again when we left the spot and he never joined the group for some chatting. Another negative point was the food which was provided. It was enough that everyone got something (not really much), but in a group of 30 people it had to be more. The camp was alright, but pillows where not provided. It also wasn’t mentioned in the list of what to bring. For us it counts to the minimum of standard as we paid so much money for the tour.
