Well worth a visit! The guide was awesome!
Barra seem to slow with their metabolism during cooler months and become lazy chasing food. Not many fish caught during our visit and my son only caught one. The young guy at reception is certainly a big improvement on the grumpy old farts who used to be in that job. The cafe food is sensational. Delicious.
Been here many, many times over the years - pretty much any time the family come up to visit. This time, out of the three of us fishing, not a single fish was caught. My lure was completely over the hook, and when i tried to change rod’s, the staff member standing by the rods wouldn’t allow me to swap saying it was fine, but all in all a pretty expensive day out to not have a single hookup. Seemed to be completely different staff there from our last trip a few months ago. Not sure if they’ve changed hands, but we probably won’t be back again.
Im Sorry you did not have a good experience this time round. We did have all of our long term staff on a first aid and CPR course at the farm. Our apologies. We have added this risk into future staff training events.
