This experience goes beyond simply visiting the reef, with a strong focus on preserving its natural beauty while offering a fun and immersive day out on the water!

Guests step aboard a recently refurbished vessel and are welcomed by a friendly, knowledgeable crew who ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

The 90-minute journey to the reef includes a full briefing, setting the scene for what’s to come, before arriving at a carefully selected snorkelling site chosen by the captain based on the day’s best conditions.

With up to two hours in the water, snorkellers can explore vibrant coral gardens and encounter an incredible array of marine life, with expert guides on hand to assist both beginners and experienced swimmers alike.

They’ll happily point out hidden gems and help identify the colourful species that call the reef home, making the experience even more engaging. After time in the water, guests can unwind on the sun deck during the scenic return to Cairns, soaking up the views and ocean breeze.

Lunchboxes are included on this tour as well as light snacks, rounding out a relaxed yet adventure-filled reef experience!

Fuel Recovery Surcharge - travel dates fromApril 1st 2026 September 30th 2026.

This company charges a fuel levy of $10 per person payable directly to the tour company after booking. The tour company will reach out directly to arrange payment of $10 per person prior to day of travel.

Itinerary

  • 8.40 am – Check-in at A Finger, Cairns Marina.
  • 9.00 am – Set sail to the Outer Reef, during which you’ll be given a full briefing by our experienced crew on the activities and options for the day.
  • 10.30 am – Once we arrive at the Outer Reef, the real adventure begins! Join our guided snorkelling session and enjoy up to two hours snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef.
  • 12.30 pm – You’ll then receive your delicious picnic lunch box, which you can enjoy in the main deck area, or take advantage of one of the many open deck areas and enjoy your meal al fresco as we return to Cairns.
  • 2.00 pm – Back to the Cairns Marina, it’s time to say goodbye to the beautiful Reef with memories that will last a lifetime!
