Our expert guide will provide a fascinating and haunting commentary into the history of the Asylum as we uncover the many rooms and blocks still rife with paranormal activity.

Home to notorious criminals such as Chopper Read, Gary Webb and William Wallace, and a burial site for many damned and revengeful souls - it’s easy to see why The J Ward Lunatic Asylum is considered one of the most paranormally active locations in Australia.

Join us for a thrilling evening at J Ward Lunatic Asylum - just 45mins drive from the famous Grampians National Park.

  • Allow approximately 2 hours for the whole experience

  • Girdlestone Street
  • Ararat 3377. This location is a 2.5 hour drive from Melbourne.

Notes

  • Please Note: Due to the nature of stories, children must be 12+ years for this experience.

    Please arrive for check in at 7.50pm, 10 mins prior to the 8pm tour departure.

    No refunds. Change of date permitted with a minimum of 48 hours notice BEFORE your scheduled experience for a fee of $10 per order by calling Lantern Tours Monday - Friday 10-3pm on 1300390119. Non-attendance and late cancellation voids your order.

    Tours run every Friday & Saturday nights throughout the year.

Great Stories, and Spokey Setting

Guide Sandra was incredible. Even though I'm a s***y c**t she kept me close by. The team were given the rod and EVPs which ours went crazy. The stories were heart breaking, however some well deserved. And the end video I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the witness accounts and the J ward back in the day .. Thank You
