Get ready to explore the stunning Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation with Billy Tea Safaris - the Original Rainforest Tour guides that have been locally operated for over 38 years!
With small group sizes, comfortable custom-built air-conditioned 4WD vehicles and a local guide you will go further, see more and enjoy a personalised experience.
Once we have collected you from your accommodation your adventure begins with a spectacularly scenic drive north along the Captain Cook Highway to our first stop of the day the majestic Daintree River. On arrival, it will be time for a spot of morning tea (tea, coffee & biscuits) before embarking on a 1 Hour Daintree River Cruise where you will enjoy the informative commentary and try to spot some of the local wildlife including Estuarine Crocodiles.
Heading further north we arrive at Daintree Rainforest where you can stretch your legs with a guided tour along the elevated National Park Boardwalk. Your experienced guide will help you to identify flora and fauna as we search for the elusive, rare Southern Cassowary and other incredible wildlife.
Once we have finished our Rainforest walk it will be time to enjoy a tasty lunch at a local cafe. There is also time for a refreshing swim in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest. Cool down under the lush canopy, a beautiful experience you won't forget.
Next up, stroll along Cape Tribulation Beach and to the lookout - where the rainforest meets the reef! This stunning location is perfect for those who want to snap some beautiful photos and take in the scenery.
On our way to drop you back at your accommodation, we make one last stop at Daintree Ice-Cream Company for an exotic homemade ice cream.
Itinerary
- Pick up from your accommodation (Cairns, Northern Beaches and Port Douglas)
- 1 Hour Daintree River Cruise spotting crocodiles. Enjoy light morning tea before cruise of tea, coffee and biscuits.
- Guided walk through the ancient Daintree Rainforest with your guide learning all about the Daintree Rainforest National Park, the oldest rainforest in the world!
- Lunch with your fellow travellers in the Daintree
- Freshwater swim in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest

Best tour guide and experience
Had a great full day tour experience, best in all Cairns tours. Rohan the tour guide is the best and very passionate and knowledgeable guide. The tour is planned very well with all snacks and delicious lunch provided including delicious ice cream. A must do tour if you’re visiting Cairns.

The daintree experience
It was great and our guide Andy was very knowledgeable during the whole trip. It's a beautiful location not to be missed. Didn't realise how much driving would be involved and can't tell if its the road or the shock absorbers of the vehicle that had all the bumps being felt by the passengers.

Great Day Out
Highly recommend this trip, excellent value for money. Brilliant driver, AJ, just enough cheekyness but extremely knowledgeable. He was awesome with every single person on the trip. Great size group too, with 17 of us. Make sure to do this trip if you get ghe chance.
