After your Hotel pick up and drive down the Channel Highway to Kettering enjoy the ferry ride to Bruny Island with excellent opportunities to see seals and penguins feeding in the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Admire natural sights like the Mount Mangana rainforest in search of White Wallaby in the wild and Adventure Bay’s beautiful beaches. Be guided through The Neck Wildlife Reserve and onwards to the Cape Bruny Lighthouse Station and join Australia’s southernmost Lighthouse Tour, enjoy an exclusive group tour of the Lighthouse which is included in the price of your day tour to Bruny Island. With some of the most dramatic views in Tasmania, from the top of the 184 year old tower.
This tour is a foodie’s fantasy come true, get to know the island’s food scene with tastings of cheese, chocolate, and honey, plus a lunch of local produce. For morning tea, enjoy Bruny Island Cheeses & Oysters picnic style, with fresh breads on one of the islands pristine white beaches. You will also have the option to visit the cheese makers and oyster farm outlet on the return journey later in the day. You can store any of your purchased food items in the ice boxes that the tour vehicles are equipped with.
Along the way, you will stop at many of the Bruny Island food producers, lookouts and sweeping beaches with ample time for short walks or a paddle in the cool ocean waters of the Tasman Sea. For lunch, choose from an extensive menu of local Tasmanian produce such as locally caught fresh fish, succulent local lamb, salmon, seafood chowder or the popular seafood platter for two (gluten free and vegetarian options available). Enjoy this collaboration of fine food produced by Hotel Bruny & Bruny Island producers, overlooking Sunset Beach.
After lunch, enjoy a sweet treat at The Honey Pot. Here you'll get to sample a range of Tasmanian Honeys and browse their gift shop. The last venue stop is at The Bruny Island Chocolate Company, where you'll taste a range of premium chocolates and fudge.
Complete your indulgent day with your return ferry crossing to Kettering before returning to Hobart, with ample time to relax before heading out to dinner with your new found friends from the days touring.
Departs: Hobart daily by 7am
Returns: Hobart approx 5.30pm (can vary in peak times and ferry schedule)

Beautiful Bruny Island
I really enjoyed the day on beautiful Bruny Island. The weather was perfect! Our driver and tour guide, Dave, was most informative and helpful. The activities were interesting and manageable, although the stairs at the lookout and lighthouse might be challenging for anyone older or unfit. The oysters were delicious, as was lunch. Recommended!
