Take the scenic route from Hobart to Launceston, spending the morning by the sea and the afternoon in the grapevines.
Take the scenic route from Hobart to Launceston, spending the morning by the sea and the afternoon in the grapevines.
After leaving Hobart we travel along picturesque roads through seaside towns of Orford and Swansea to arrive at Freycinet National Park.
There we walk to Wineglass Bay lookout, a moderate 45 minute hike that gets the heart pumping before revealing one of the best views in the Southern Hemisphere. Gaze out over treetops to a sweeping vista of white sand and turquoise water, soaking in the beauty of Wineglass Bay.
Depending on how active you’re feeling, you can extend your hike down to the beach for swimming, relaxing and dolphin spotting or return from the lookout with your guide to check out Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay and Cape Tourville Lighthouse.
The afternoon brings us to Devil’s Corner winery, perched high on a hill overlooking Freycinet. It’s the ideal place to kick back with a glass of wine, fresh seafood platter, woodfired pizza, tea, coffee or artisan gelato before ending our day in Launceston.

Luggage: Guests should be able to load and unload own luggage Main luggage will be stored in the vehicle trailer throughout the day. All gear needed for the day should be carried in a day pack onboard the tour vehicle. This tour is an active day tour and an excellent way to maximise travel time in Tasmania.
