We followed them for about 1km but it was evident they were struggling. The skipper made the right decision but it meant we had to all return to our last stop, wait for them and the next group of canoers who were supposed to paddle back from Harry's Hut to have a "play with the canoes". This meant I had to sit around and wait for them, and then we rushed down to Harry's Hut, 10 min to see the hut then back on the boat and home. We wanted to explore the area around the hut but were unable to as we had to spend so much time waiting for the inept canoe folk. Next time I go on a cruise I will make sure that we're not having to wait for people to canoe dictating our day. More should be done to assess the skills of people electing the 5km canoe trip!
