Firstly wasn't sure if the Bookme website was a scam where I bought the deal so I called up Gold Coast Dive Centre and they verified they got bookings from the site often and the receptionist was kind and reassuring about it. The "Try Scuba" experience during the day was fantastic even though weather wasn't the best, instructors and other staff at the place were friendly with each other and with all the customers. They were enjoying the day as much as we were, making it feel like a vacation with them rather than them being on a job showing us what to do. Got lucky and swam 2m away from a wild dolphin. Visibility under water wasn't the best as wave break island had lots of boats coming in and out as well as another company being there with a lot of customers which made it a bit crowded but still good for a 'beginner course'. Lots of fish to swim with too. Shout out to Na who was a very friendly and great instructor.
