Amazing
Not only was the team willing to teach how to paddle board (small extra charge) but went above and beyond. Suggested to try paaddling to Macintosh Island and I randomly ended up feeding the birds there as well!! Weather was lovely and the experience was totally worth it. Thanks again 🥳

not what was expected
because we did not pay for coaching lessions we were forbiden to leave the pier too far. Going up and down along the bank took 10 minutes each way but that's all we could do for 2 hours it was ridiculous. I expected if I rent a SUP I could take it out to explore.

Hi Cindy, We are all about safety first... It is in the best interest for all, that our instructors choose to limit those who have no skills in order to ensure safety for all. If you had taken part in a mini instruction you would have had better skills to instil confidence for our instructors to allow you better range for exploration. I can only guess that the conditions were poor as well for this to occur. Were you not confidant swimmers wearing a life jacket? perhaps that was a reason for the limitations for your SUP experience. Our instructors know of the conditions off the local beach and what paddlers will experience so I trust they made the best judgement call on the day. I am only sorry that you did not find it amazing as all our other paddlers have reviewed. (see Alina 5 star review) So, I can only suggest next time you take part in the mini lesson or a full lesson and hone your skills in order to paddle further afield and explore safely. It is a great activity for this, but there are concerns, as with all water sports, I trust you understand. Thank you GV SUP Team Manager

Highly recommended. Linda is lovely and helpful. Try and pick a very calm and windless day. We had just a slight wind but it was enough to make it difficult to paddle against the waves Thanks Linda & bookme

Fantastic experience! Will definitely do again
Fabulous day out! Great venue - easy to park, easy to find the SUP staff. Right opposites Bumbles Cafe which makes for a lovely after activity coffee/feed. The staff were informative and very easy going. We just hired the boards and didn't do a tour, but the staff advised us where to go and what to look out for. Highly recommend! Booking online was easy, no tricky small print. Just turn up on the day and show my voucher.
