Starting at the Historic Gympie Station, the train will travel through lush agricultural landscapes, winding your way into the serene heart of the Mary Valley.

Upon reaching the charming village of Amamoor, step off the train to watch the engine turn on a traditional turntable. Take a moment to explore the picturesque Amamoor Village Green before reboarding your carriage for the scenic return trip to Gympie Station.

Throughout the journey, knowledgeable volunteer guides share fascinating historical insights about the train and the region, allowing you to savour the nostalgia of a bygone era.

Don't miss this experience

It was definitely worth the drive from Sunshine Coast. Caring staff, wonderful environment, love both cafes at Gympie station and Amamoor, with unique set up. The staff members on board are nice. The view is stunning.
