Freedom III offers a fantastic day out to see the amazing Humpback Whales in their natural environment. Join us for an informative, all inclusive cruise and get up close and personal with these majestic creatures as we take a full day whale watching trip Hervey Bay
The vessel is a stable 58 foot catamaran previously owned by world renowned documentary maker Ben Cropp. Featuring 3 levels with full 360 degree whale viewing platforms, it also has water level viewing to get you as close as possible to the whales.
Trip departs: 9:30am, accommodation pick up available from 8:30am
*This trip can fill at short notice so please understand on rare occasions an element of flexibility may be required for your date of travel*
Conditions: Due to the nature of whale watching, all trips are weather dependent and while this is highly uncommon, seeing whales can never be 100% guaranteed. However between August 1st and October 31st if no whales are spotted on your trip another free return trip is given. The operator reserves the right to cancel/postpone the trip if necessary. Please keep your phone with you leading up to departure should the operator need to contact you.

Amazing day with the whales
What a magnificent day, did not disappoint. Tony was an awesome captain, and VIK and Kieren were the attentive and friendly crew. The whales were numerous and interactive. I couldn’t recommend this experience highly enough. We would definitely do this again.

Wonderful experience 2nd year doing this full day trip. Great crew, good food and excellent amenities. Love it will be back again next year.

Absolutely Epic Trip
An absolutely epic day trip! We were able to see a mother and calf right up breaching beside our boat for a good 10minutes. Crew were really great and welcoming; the food was nice and we definitely enjoyed the morning tea of scones with jam and cream! 10/10 would recommend, and if you are umming and ahhing like we were about either this full day trip or a shorter half day, don't think twice and book this full day trip with Freedom lll. The value for money and fantastic experience with being able to see soooo many whales was second to none. Thanks for having us!
