Join us as we dive into a genuine Aboriginal experience at Rainforestation Nature Park, which is home to Army Duck Rainforest Tours on land and water, the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience, and the famous Australian creatures in the Koala & Wildlife Park.

After being picked up from Cairns, your experience will begin at Rainforestation Nature Park where you’ll meet their friendly staff who will prepare you for your adventure.

Explore the rainforest on land and water, learn about diverse types of flora, fauna, and unique Australian creatures, enjoy an authentic Aussie BBQ, and immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture by throwing spears and boomerangs and listening to the lovely sounds of a didgeridoo while the Pamagirri dance and more! Your day will be full of adventure, culture, and memories.


Tour Stops:

RAINFORESTATION FOR RAINFOREST ARMY DUCK TOUR:

Explore the rainforest in a World War 2 Army Duck on land and water while you learn about different flora and fauna.

PAMAGIRRI ABORIGINAL EXPERIENCE:

Learn about authentic Indigenous Culture. Join an Indigenous guide for a Dreamtime walk with a spear-throwing & didgeridoo presentation and learn how to throw a boomerang. Enjoy a traditional dance performance in the rainforest amphitheatre.

KOALA & WILDLIFE PARK:

A variety of Australian animals, including dingoes, Tasmanian Devils, and koalas, can be found here. Hand feed wallabies and kangaroos and meet the endangered Southern Cassowary and Lumholtz's Tree Kangaroo. To top it off, you may even be able to snuggle a koala and get your picture taken with it!

PAMAGIRRI RAINFOREST WALKABOUT:

A Pamagirri guide walks you through the rainforest, showing you various plants and fruits that have historically been utilized as food and medicine. Participate in an Aboriginal art session led by a Pamagirri artist and learn about painting methods, storytelling, and customs.

KURANDA VILLAGE:

Kuranda Village is famous for its markets. Travel back in time to the hippy era at the Original Rainforest Markets, shop for gifts at the Heritage Market. Take a stroll along the Barron River or indulge at one of the quirky cafes.

AUSTRALIAN BUTTERFLY SANCTUARY:

The Australian Butterfly, located in the heart of Kuranda Village, is home to a plethora of colourful, tropical butterflies. They have the largest butterfly flight aviary in Australia, with 1500 free-flying butterflies in their rainforest aviary. (At an extra cost - 10% off Entry)

  • 8.40am - travel to Rainforestation Nature Park from Cairns via the Kuranda Range
  • 9.15am - arrive at Rainforestation Nature Park
  • Army duck tour approx. 45 minutes
  • Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience approx. 60 minutes
  • 11.30am Aussie BBQ Lunch
  • 1pm Pamagirri Rainforest Walkabout
  • 2pm Arrive Kuranda Village for free time to explore
  • 4pm Departure Kuranda for Cairns
  • Approx. 5pm dropped off at Cairns accomodation

  • -Passengers are required to call 48 hours prior to travel to confirm accommodation details and pick-up time.
