Take your own plane to beautiful Lizard Island from Cairns for an all inclusive day tour, the perfect way to see the Great Barrier Reef

As a scenic flight operator, we ensure your journey to and from Cairns to Lizard Island is as memorable as possible. Taking off, we leave the rainforest covered mountains behind, heading west to Green Island and out to Arlington Reef on the edge of the continental shelf. From here, we track in a north-westerly direction to Lizard Island, flying over the world renowned Ribbon Reefs

We arrive at Lizard Island around 10.30am. Surrounded by coral reefs, Lizard Island offers a range of attractions to interest guests, from the golden sandy beaches, to the fringing mangroves, rocky outcrops with sweeping views and interior plains and woodlands. All are easily accessible to day tour visitors, thanks to comfortable walking tracks and trails.

This is truly one of the Far North’s hidden gems, inaccessible to most thanks to its remote location. During our Lizard Island day tour, you have approximately 5.5 hours to explore the national park component of the island. You can swim and snorkel, hike and explore, take in the views or just relax, it’s up to you. We provide a light salad picnic lunch, which is enjoyed at Watsons Beach, overlooking the Coral Sea.

Departing at 5pm we follow the coast back to Cairns, enjoying the late afternoon sunshine and golden light. We arrive at Cairns Airport at around 6pm.
