Nestled amongst the lush greenery of a World Heritage Listed Rainforest sits Kuranda, a beautiful village just waiting to be explored! Experience all there is to see and do on a full day Kuranda expedition, which starts with a scenic hotel transfer to the world-renowned Skyrail Cableway.
Your journey begins as you ascend by gondola deep into the world's oldest living Rainforest where you'll be greeted by spectacular 360-degree views from above. This 90-minute journey will give you a unique birds-eye view of the regions unspoiled, natural beauty, plus you can enjoy a walk through the forest on either of the 2 stops along the way.
You'll be spoilt for choice upon reaching Kuranda, which boasts amazing markets, cute shops, and stunning walking trails. Get ready to discover some of the most iconic Australian Reptiles and animals at the Koala Gardens before heading to The Kuranda Hotel for a sensational lunch and dessert with a seaside view.
After lunch, you can sit back, relax and take in the sights on a River cruise along the Barron River. Enjoy entertaining and educational commentary as you are treated to more amazing scenery with the chance of even spotting local wildlife, including freshwater crocodiles and turtles!
To top everything off, you will take a spectacular journey back to Cairns on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. The train winds along forested hillside tracks and offers unsurpassed views of the lush rainforest, steep ravines, and cascading waterfalls - the perfect way to end the day!

Great day A little tight for time after several pick ups and going to railway station first and then a big cruise ship queue Magical day. Kuranda is a heavenly place.Great lady guiding the boat trip So eloquent and cool. The staff clearly love their jobs Well Done

Beautiful Day Trip
Awesome day from start to finish. Nice gondola ride up to Kuranda with 2 stops along the way to stretch your legs on beautiful scenic walks. Free shuttle bus running every 15 mins to Koala gardens, Bird World and the Butterfly Sanctuary. Nice lunch and beers on tap at Kuranda Pub. Laid back cruise up and down the Barron River spotting crocodiles and feeding fish and turtles. Beautiful scenic train ride back to Cairns. Pick up and drop off back to resort. Everything ran smoothly. An excellent day spent with my beautiful wife.

Felt like nothing happened in that day.. our lift was on time, but we spend over 2 hours in that lift because we had to take everybody on board. Sky cable way was nice. Kuranda village was boring.. koala garden ok, food was ok and the river cruise was ok. Two hour train ride back was really boring..

Thank you for your review. We have checked our bus GPS system which indicates that you were on the bus for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Given that the day was very busy (we had three buses doing pick ups in the city area) we find this to be a reasonable amount of time. Skyrail is located 25 minutes from the city centre, and the bus had to drop off passengers at the railway station (which is closer to the city therefore we stop there first). We don't operate the train or Skyrail service but we will pass on your comments. We hope that you enjoyed your time in Cairns. Thanks again.

A lovely day out
Really enjoyed this one with the folks, a lovely adventure together exploring such a beautiful place! The skyrail was fun & the town was amazing! Lunch was brilliant with the best steak I've ever had in my life! Train ride back was cool all in all a really cool Day!

Wonderful day
Very very nice day in kuranda forest with good activities. Good meal and you have lot of choice. For the price it's perfect. Little things for the bus driver who is extremely friendly. We recommend, definitely.
