Join us for a day trip to Cape Tribulation, where the world’s oldest continually surviving tropical rainforests meets the world’s greatest the Great Barrier Reef. This is the only place on the planet where two natural World Heritage listed sites exist side by side. Such is the natural beauty and precious value of this, We give you ample time to explore this truly stunning piece of paradise on this full day tour

We begin the adventure with a scenic coastal drive from Cairns to Port Douglas. This is the far north’s very own version of the Great Ocean Road, providing panoramic views over the sparkling Coral Sea!

We head on to the Daintree River where we’ll cross on the Daintree River Cable ferry, while learning about the fragile ecosystem of this impressive river system

From crossing the mighty Daintree River we continue to Cape Tribulation where there is ample time to stop and eat lunch and an opportunity to purchase from the restaurant (however please note lunch is included on this tour). There will be a chance to explore the world famous Cape Tribulation beach, where the rainforest really does meet the reef!

Next it’s time to explore this ancient rainforest environment on a guided tour of the Marrdja Botanical Boardwalk. Our highly trained guides will give expert rainforest interpretation of this hugely diverse ecosystem. Stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company to sample some of their home made tropical ice cream from fruits grown on site such as dragonfruit, sapote and macadamia.

A stop at Alexandra Range Lookout (Walu Wugirriga) provides a great photo opportunity of views over the Daintree River, its rainforest delta and out to the Coral Sea.

Time now to sit back for the return journey to Cairns, including a quick drive through Port Douglas, a picturesque, laid back, beachside village with loads of bars and cafes.

Cape Tribulation day tour

I loved the amount that was packed into the day. Spotted crocs on the river, got to see a Cassowary along with an amazing rain forset. Meet some new friends. The tour guide wad extremely passionate about his job and love of the forest which was great. Highly recommended.

Great experience but a bit rushed

It was a great experience, we get to see so many things, started from Mossman Gorge where we swam, then we went to Daintree rainforest where we did a boat tour and we spotted crocodiles and then we went to Cape Tribulation. It was a super nice tour, however because we had to see so many things everything was too rushed we didn't have time to explore the area.. Also it is better to start from Port Douglas and avoid the one hour driving from Cairns..
