Downhill mountain biking? at night? on the Bump Track? are you serious?? Yep.
Picking you up from your Port Douglas accommodation at approx. 5.30pm, Bike N Hike Adventure Tours will drive up the Julatten Range and Black Mountain road, viewing the nightly wildlife before pulling up to our secluded drop zone.
We start with a 45 minute ride through the undulating remote area of Julatten cattle properties, before entering the famous Bump Track, where we descend the single trail into the darkened rainforest below. After stopping for a breather at Robbins Creek and taking on some stunning scenery. Then its adrenaline time as we approach Slatey Pinch and some fantastic downhill trails. On reaching the Mowbray Valley, we stop to appreciate the tranquil surroundings and brag about how you survived the famous Bump Track at night! You'll have a nice 20 minute cruise back to Port Douglas before being dropped back in your resort.

Thanks Chad for the lovely comments.... It was a pleasure having you and your wife along for the night ride and having such happy and adventurous people join us makes our job so rewarding!. Cheers Steve
Awesome fun - highly recommended!
Parts of ride are prob for confident riders but it was so awesome got to see wildlife and the tour guide johnny is dinky di Aussie and added joy to the experience with his local knowledge. I would highly recommend.
Had an epic time with the team from Bike n Hike on the bump track: great guides, fantastic Giant bikes (made me want to buy one) and plenty of wildlife to checkout on the way down (wallabies, a turtle, an eel, frog and cane toads!) Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Port Douglas, and anyone with a family (as the ride was at night, allowed me to leave just as the kids were going to bed)
Awesome fun, great bikes & excellent guides! Put it on your too do list. see the rainforest in a different "light" at night.
