The Cape Bruny Lighthouse has been restored to her former beauty and is the only lighthouse in Southern Tasmania open to the public. It towers above the spectacular rugged coastline on the South West tip of Bruny Island with sweeping views of the wild Southern Ocean. You may be lucky and get to experience a whale sighting, a regular occurance during the whale migrations.
In addition, you may also see Shy Albatross, Australian Gannets and many other seabird species swooping and gliding above the ocean swells, providing you with fantastic photo opportunities during your tour.
You will get to climb the spiral staircase to the lighthouse balcony and be in awe of the spectacular vistas of the South West Wilderness and coastlines. These are unforgettable views, you can observe the seals playing on the rocks nearby and the albatross gliding across the waves with telescopes provided by the tour operator.

Bruny island lighthouse tour
Very interesting and informative, great narrative by the caretaker and you get to climb the lighthouse. Price is very reasonable.
