A day fused with local produce, wineries brimming with history and truly remarkable people of talent.

A day fused with local produce, wineries brimming with history and truly remarkable people of talent.

Your day begins at 9am, when you can be collected from your accommodation or meet in Adelaide or Glenelg. As you leave the bustle of the city, watch the landscape transform to rolling hills before stopping at the infamous Whispering Wall to wonder at its acoustic phenomena.

Chateau Yaldara is the first winery stop of the day, boasting a historic building second to none. No tour is complete without a photo in front of this grand structure.

Continue on through the Barossa Valley, crossing famous Jacobs Creek en route to the lovely village of Tanunda, home to just 4000 people and the perfect spot to pick up a souvenir.

Peter Lehmann winery is where you will enjoy an impressive lunch of the best regional meats, cheeses, olives, vegetables and fresh breads while devouring some of their much-celebrated wines.

Then it’s time for a relaxed walk to beautiful Langmeil, home of the oldest known Shiraz vineyard in the world, and on to Mengler’s Hill Lookout to enjoy the impressive views across Barossa Valley.

Your day concludes at Murray Street Vineyards, where owner Andrew Seppelt is a 6th generation Barossa winemaker. Andrew combines local family wisdom with his knowledge from working in the vineyards of France and the USA, bringing together a complementary marriage of old and new world. You may even have the opportunity to ask Andrew a few questions.
