Today we head through the Clare Valley Wine region to the Flinders Ranges where we'll take a stroll through the Alligator Gorge and explore the stunning surrounds. That night we settle in the heart of the Southern Flinders Ranges.
Visit the Opal Capital of the World with landscape that resembles the moon - look out for kangaroos, emus and eagles! At Josephine’s Kangaroo Orphanage, you can meet the rescued kangaroos and baby joeys and get some amazing photos!! Tonight, we sleep like the locals do – underground, in bunkhouse accommodation.
Enjoy a relaxing journey to the mighty Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon), uncovering breathtaking sights along the way. We’ll set up camp for the night under the stars in an authentic station.
It's an early start to explore the sandstone walls, canyon floor and gorges at Kings Canyon. After lunch, we journey to Ayers Rock (Uluru ) - the largest rock in the world!
You'll learn about Aboriginal History at The Aboriginal Cultural Centre and experience an awe-inspiring Uluru sunset.
At dawn we embark on an unforgettable hike around the base of Uluru through Acacia woodlands and grassy clay pans. You’ll spot native wildlife, see geological wonders and learn more about Aboriginal interpretations from your Culturally Accredited Guide.
After devouring a scrumptious breakfast you'll see a glorious sunrise over Kata Tjuta, before hiking to lookouts and visiting the majestic Valley of the Winds with its ancient rock formations and extraordinary views. After lunch, we’ll hit the road to Alice Springs, arriving approximately at 6:30pm.
