Experience old world charm and modern conveniences on this vintage paddle steamer as you cruise the redgum lined historic Murray River.

Relax on Emmylou’s decks, enjoy delicious cuisine from the Redgums Restuarant and Bar or chill out in the lounge.

This is a truly magical and memorable way to experience one of Australia’s most iconic rivers.

 

Day One - Saturday Evening:

  • 5.45pm - Board PS Emmylou
  • 6.00pm - Depart Riverboat dock - Watson Street - Berth 4
  • Unpack and relax upon boarding as we depart on our cruise. As the sun starts to lower over the river why not enjoy a pre-dinner drink to get ready for your chef prepared three course dinner served at Redgums Restaurant.
  • Dinner is served from 7.00pm as we cruise upstream away from the Port of Echuca before turning as Horse Shoe Bend. Enjoy the glowing rose and gold sunset, listen to the river birds evening chorus, then linger over your dessert and coffee to watch the stars appear.
  • As we continue downstream back under the Echuca/Moama Bridge we pass the imposing Echuca Wharf and other Paddlesteamers moored after their day on the river. We cruise 12km along the river passing Morrisons Winery which is a great lunch spot before pulling into our mooring for the evening at Layfield Lane. Here we set up a campfire (subject to weather) under the stars where you can enjoy a good yarn with your fellow passengers. Relax with a beverage from the bar or roast marshmallows before retiring for the evening at your leisure.

    Day Two - Sunday Morning:

  • Awake at your leisure to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and new steam as the engineer fires up the 1906 steam engine for the days work. Take a morning bush walk before returning for your breakfast,/li>
  • 7.45am your fully cooked breakfast is served at Redgums.
  • 8.30am We depart Layfield Lane for our cruise back to port, you are welcome to try your hand steering the boat with the skipper or just relax as we cruise back to Echuca.
  • 9.30am Arrive Port of Echuca for your transfer back to your car.
