The Thunderbolt is easily the fastest and most fun way to transport yourself to Fitzroy Island. Take a 30 minute journey of thrills to an island paradise.
You’ll enjoy half a day on the island, where you can explore, relax and play. Take a tour along one of the National Park tracks, kayak the coastline, swim off one of the sandy beaches, and did we say…ocean trampoline?!
Experience the glorious island and marine world that fringe the Great Barrier Reef - and get there by Thunderbolt!
You can hire snorkel gear, kayaks and stand up paddle boards from our Beach Hire Hut once you are on the island.

Want to stay on the island for a little longer? Talk to the friendly staff after booking or on the day and come back on our 4:30pm Fitzroy ferry service!
Price: $70 Adult, $43 Child (8-14 years) - Please note minimum chid age is 8 years for this tour
Please note: $5 per person Levy payable on arrival and not included in price

fitzroy thunderbolt is just that
Very good set up and well worth it. Just a trip on the thunderbolt in slightly choppy seas is worth it. But the surrounding facilities and reasonable prices are all excellent.

Good ride: Got to the island fairly quick, allowing enough time to enjoy most of the island.

Amazing Creatures of the Deep
Fitzroy Island is a magical wonderland, I was amazed to see so many amazing sea creatures, but the highlight of the day was definitly seeing one of the origional cast of Cat's dancing on the beach in a full black lycra suit.. Truly Breath Taking!

Great trip
Great trip to Fitzroy Island. The Thunderbolt was fantastic. Fitzroy is paradise.
