Alive takes guided rainforest hikes to Barron Gorge National Park in the Cairns region which lies in the Wet Tropic Heritage Area. The day includes spotting wildlife like the beautiful Ulysses Butterfly, Bush Turkeys, Scrub Fowls, Tree Kangaroos, Endangered Cassowaries and Tropical Rainforest Plant life such as our huge Strangler figs, mango trees, Guava trees, gain insight into the local Aboriginal culture and history and more.
The day finishes off with a refreshing swim in one of the many picturesque freshwater swimming holes!
Safety is our first priority, our staff are trained in First Aid , and are qualified Outdoor Educators, ensuring you and your families well being
Pick-Up: Available around Palm Cove and Trinity Beach, meeting point to be arranged directly with operator for bookings from outside of this area. Pick up commences between 9.30 and 10am. Cairns Pick up meeting point - Rusty’s Market 9.30am

Great wander
Good communication before the day. Informative and exactly as advertised. If you have the option of taking boots rather than sneakers, then I would recommend them

Exciting hike
The guide took us to a beautiful spot you could not easily find yourself. The hike was challenging but well doable. The nature and waterfalls are amazing. A tastfull lunch at the top and a refreshing swim in crystal clear water at the end, together with a friendly and well prepared guide made this trip a great adventure.
